Bringing Quality Healthcare Home

At Klarah, we believe no one should suffer simply because they can't access care

Founded in 2022, Klarah has become Cameroon's first and leading healthcare platform connecting patients with qualified nurses for home and telehealth care.

With over 1000 verified nurses nationwide, we're on a mission to bring accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare to every Cameroonian home.

How Klarah Began

Klarah's story began with a personal experience that revealed a critical gap in Cameroon's healthcare system.

When Dr. Ginyu Innocentia Kwalar Toh, our founder and CEO, learned that her father had fallen ill in Bamenda, everything changed. None of the siblings were home—some lived abroad, others in different cities. Her brother Kingsley, based in Germany, returned to Cameroon and was struck by how difficult it was to get clear, timely information about their father's condition.

They did what many Cameroonians are forced to do—they improvised. The family found a nurse to provide home care, visiting their father regularly. The results were immediate and powerful. The personalized attention, proactive care, and dignity their father received at home far exceeded the sporadic support he had been getting at the hospital.

"Our vision is to make quality healthcare accessible to everyone, regardless of their location in Cameroon."

"If Kingsley could feel this way about our father," Innocentia thought, "how many other families abroad are feeling helpless, disconnected, and worried about their loved ones back home?"

  • Frustration over poor hospital communication.
  • Worry over vague updates from aging parents.
  • Guilt about not being there.

That's how Klarah was born.

A platform to give families visibility, confidence, and peace of mind, wherever they are.
